You Know You've Been Blogging Too Long When ...

Remember when the whole idea of "blogging" was fresh and new? When you had to explain to everyone around just what the heck "blogging" is? And when "blogging" always had quotes around it, because no one knew what to make of it?

Yes, well, we remember those days, too. Which is just one of the signs that we at BlogHer have been in the blogging game for a long time. In fact, we've been at it for almost a DECADE, can you believe it? Yep, we're currently planning our 10th Annual BlogHer conference for 2014, and when we look back at where this all started? Well, we get a little tired and have to sit down, because we are old, OBVIOUSLY.

Plenty of you have been in the blogging game even before BlogHer launched its conference. And aside from looking at your number of Twitter followers, there are ways to tell that you've been around the blog more than once. Yes, you with the hashtag necklace tucked into your jewelry box. Or, you, who knows the back end of a WordPress site like her child's own face. Which leads us to this post's purpose. How do you know when you've been blogging too long?

The short answer is, of course, there is NO SUCH THING as blogging too long. But the long answers... They are filled with the funny. Read on for a few ideas, and then please share your own idea of how you can tell you've been "blogging too long." The editors of BlogHer will pick a handful of favorites to add to the story... And some of them may even show up at the party of the decade: B10gHer '14.

This is the first post in our 10x10 Online project. Read about the BlogHer 2014 10x10 Project now, and stay tuned -- we’ll be asking you for YOUR quotes on various topics as we get ready for our 10th anniversary next year!
