What I Eat on Daily Basis
I get asked a lot what I eat now that I'm on my new strict diet. I thought I'd share a break down of what a typical day looks like for me - foodwise.
I never used to eat breakfast. I was just never hungry so early in the morning. Then, even before my diagnosis, I read that it was healthy to eat breakfast every morning, not only becasue of the energy boost you get, but also because your body will not think it's starving.
I have one serving of honey nut cheerios with almond milk and a half a glass of cranberry juice.
Morning Snack: Either a banana or an apple
This varies greatly. Sometimes I'll have a half a grilled cheese sandwich with a carrot stick, sometimes tuna, sometimes crab salad (minus the pasta). There is always a lite yoplait yogurt involved though.
Afternoon Snack: 100 calorie snack pack of almonds
Dinner: This changes daily. I try to only have 1-2 servings of carbs which translates to 15-30 gram of carbohydrates. Whether that's a piece of garlic bread with my zucchini noodles, a serving of brown rice, a couple pieces of plantains. I'll post dinner recipes soon!
After dinner snack: Sugar free jello with whipped cream OR Breyers No Sugar Added Vanilla.
There you have it - what I eat on a daily basis!
