What To Do When Worry & Anxiety Take Over
Have you even been paralyzed by a nagging fear or worry about something taking place in the future? Like to the point of complete inactivity/couch potato action? Maybe it’s running into an ex at a mac-and-cheese eating contest (umm, not that that’s happened or anything). Perhaps it’s something career defining- the big meeting with your boss’s boss’s boss that you’ve been asked to attend for the first time. Or maybe you are choosing to have a difficult conversation with someone you care about, and how you plan to approach them is keeping you up at night.

I woke up on Sunday morning with a general sense of unease. (No, Dad, it wasn’t the 2 glasses of wine that I had the night before). I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but the whole morning was a titch unproductive, and I barely made it out the door for my daily dose of pilates.
While in a downward dog, it hit me like a ton of yoga blocks: I was worried about my mom’s upcoming full knee replacement surgery and it was weighing me down. It was freezing me in my tracks. It was reminding me of how I used to feel when I was a serious worrier.
So, what did I do to move on with my day and feel good about it?
