Preparation time: 15 minutes + cooling
You will need:
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon lime juice
1 kg of watermelon, chopped
1. Mix the sugar and water in a saucepan and simmer over low heat until the sugar melt completely. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Remove from heat, add the lime juice and refrigerate.
2. Place watermelon in a food processor and make a puree. Pass it through a sieve, using a spoon remove the lumps. Add the puree to the cooled syrup.
