Typos in Your Email Could Be a Security Issue

I make a lot of typos. Even with things I type repeatedly such as my email address. If you have the same problem, you should to know that this could be a security issue for you. Kim Z. Dale, writing at Listing Toward Forty explains the issue. Give her a read.

Hackers need personal data to exploit for identify theft and other fraud, but sometimes a simple typing mistake can expose your private information to someone who has no reason to see it. If that happens you have to hope that the person getting access to your accounts lacks criminal tendencies.
