Students of Bangkok's Kasetsart University In Thailand were compelled to wear bizarre blinkers, [pieces of plain white paper clipped to a headband], to prevent cheating [omokirikiri] during a textile exam. The picture posted on Facebook triggered mix reviews, with educators at other universities calling it excessive and humiliating. The school has ended the practice following numerous complaints, but professor Nattadon Rungruangkitkrai told Agence France-Presse that it was "for fun, relaxation and humor for the students," and claimed they were consulted. The board has since issued an apology.
