Spring Clean Your Life: Remove the Clutter and Muck From The Everyday
I love this time of year in the Northeast! The flowers are blooming, the birds chirping. Windows can finally be open to let the warm air in, and chase the cold and dark out of your home. The days become longer, and your house is full of glorious sunshine.
It is wonderful.
The only thing not wonderful about it is that all that glorious sunshine and longer days, mean that you can finally get a good look about your house. You can see the dust that has built up over the long winter, in places you swear you have cleaned. You suddenly notice the walls of your closets closing in with things you do not want or need. You suddenly feel the need to open up all the windows and air the house and scrub it clean.
But what if that is not enough?
You scrubbed your house from top to bottom. You have never seen your oven or toilet bowl so clean. You are getting rid of enough stuff to open your own consignment shop. But you still feel that nagging heaviness that something more needs to be done.
Maybe it’s time to spring clean your life. Evaluate what you have and where you are. What needs to be improved and what is fine as it is. It is surprising how the smallest changes can have the biggest impact on our lives. Let it be a time of growth and renewal, to remove the dust and clutter from your everyday and bring to your mind some peace. Do it for you - let it go.
