I don't have a toddler, and I certainly don't have $300 to blow on a novelty lamp, but I am coveting this Miffy Lamp XL, inspired by the Miffy series of picture books drawn and written by Dutch artist Dick Bruna. I've never read the Miffy books, which were introduced in the 1950s, but they're apparently famous enough to generate dozens of sequels, two television series, and a feature film. Sadly, all that demand hasn't made the lamp any less expensive, even though it looks like the kind of thing I should be able to buy at IKEA for $21.95. . . .
