A Letter to Myself as a New Mom

[Editor's Note: If you could write a letter to yourself as a new mother, what would it say? Imagine your New Mom Self opening it on a Really Hard New Mom Day. What would you want to read in your over-tired, spit-up-on state of being? Noelle at Noelle Aloud shared a letter to herself, and she's got some good stuff. Will you write one? I might! -Jenna]

A Letter to Myself as a New Mother:

Letters Play Important Roles in our LivesBut you are an Amazon warrior priestess slaying a dragon on the moon with an axe that is also a guitar. You are. Even though you feel like you did that time when you were three and you got separated from Mom in the elevator.

Trust me on this one.

It's okay to feel like a scared little kid, but remind yourself every day that you are motherfucking tough. You just did an amazing thing, growing and giving birth to this gorgeous baby. It's also totally okay to feel shitty and hate everything and wonder why you thought this was a good idea in the first place. Get yourself some Baby Blues Mood Remedy tincture and take it every day, even if you don't think you need it.
