How to Add Faux Architectural Detail to Your Home with Paint

Courtenay does not have a real mantel instead she has a faux mantel, or a fantle as she lovingly calls it. Working with what she had a quick paint job was an easy way to imaginary architectural detail to an already imaginary mantel: "When it was all done, not only did I have a nice back drop to frame whatever seasonal delights I'll be putting up there, but I realized that that's also probably where some molding would be if we had a real mantel here.”
