Mom Wants a Photo for Christmas (and Her Son's Memory to Fade)
[Editor's Note: Everyone has been writing their Christmas wishlists, and the mom behind Minor Catastrophes is no exception. I encourage you to read it. What starts out as a normal mom wish -- a family photo -- turns into a gut-busting laugh fest. Only because I remember thinking those things about my parents and, no doubt, my kids will think the same of me someday. But really, I'm far too old to stay up until 11 o'clock! -Jenna]
Here’s what I want for Christmas: I want a family photo. I would like for all three of my boys to be present in said photo, preferably wearing something other than ratty T-shirts. It’s been a while since I’ve posted about them, and there’s a reason for that. At 19, 16 and 14, our home functions more like a restaurant serving homemade meals (but consumed like fast-food) before my regular customers vaporize without paying a dime and often with just a grunt that is taken to mean that they enjoyed their meal.
