Pretty in Pastel

Pretty in Pastel

I love how when it shoots up to 50 degrees here (or close to it)—people are walking around with no coats on, in shorts, like it's the middle of July. I guess that's what it feels like when the temperature has been in the teens, all the way down to minus 30, for the past few months. I was inspired by the warmth, and the people super excited for spring to FINALLY be here, so I'm focusing on a trend that seems to make its way back every spring: pastels. I'm not one to wear a lot of color, especially lighter and/or brighter colors, but this year I am going to try to incorporate some pastels into my wardrobe and share with you some of the cutest items in this pastel trend.

(Try not to wear all of these at once to avoid looking like an Easter egg!)

Pretty in Pastel1. Mango // Sequin Sweatshirt in Pastel Grey // $57

2. Balmain // Low Rise Skinny Jeans // $220 *On Sale*

3. New Look // Mint Green Sports Watch //$17

4. New Look //Shell Pink Waterfall Blazer //$42

5. John Lewis // TOPSHOP Nails //$8

6. Miu Miu //Round Sunglasses // $339

7. Modcloth // Sweet Strolling Flat in Mint //$33

I threw that ampersand sweater in there because a) I thought it was super cute and b) light gray is a great neutral color to pair with any pastel to balance out the look.

Here is a pastel-inspired outfit from my own closet.

I went on a hunt yesterday after work to find some pastel nail polish. Here are the three beauties I added to my collection:

Forever 21 pastel nail polishForever21 // Lavender // Light Grey // Sage // $2.80 each

F21 has AMAZING nail polish. I have never had a problem with them bubbling or chipping, and they're under $3 each—yes please!

Pastels will be HUGE this spring, so give this trend a try. Whether it's on your fingertips or from your head to your toe, be pretty in pastel!
