Rainbow ceiling fan

How great is this!?

Somewhere over the rainbow, there was a paper tape fan…

I used to collect rainbows. I had the comforter, the wall paper, the hanging mobile and stickers galore! So when I saw this pin of a rainbow fan, I knew I had to do it for myself Lil’ Bear’s playroom upstairs. The tutorial is in Portuguese, but it was self-explanatory!

I pinned that a few months ago, maybe a year ago, but as I was walking down the super colorful crayon aisle at Target I saw this paper tape with ALL of the colors of the rainbow already in it and it was only $5!! I was GOING to get duct tape of different colors, but each roll was $5, so this was such a score!

Decorate with paper tape

We actually had the red duct tape from something else (I can’t remember what) but Lil’ Bear has a “thing” for tape. He could get a roll of Scotch Tape for his birthday and be happy! He just loves to tape things…and people.

How to execute the paper tape fan project:

I just turned the fan off, got on a super wobbly toddler chair that was about to crumble and put two strips of every color of paper tape we had on each of the fan blades. It looks cool with the fan on AND off! It’s my favorite playroom decoration yet! Lil’ Bear loves it, too! He continued the craft to his previously mentioned toddler chair and used up all the tape of course, but I didn’t care! Where else will I need rainbow-colored tape?

step 2: paper tape the chair of course!

What do you ya think?

Don’t worry, the popcorn ceiling is the next project to be done upstairs!

What’s your favorite playroom decoration?

Remember the upstairs playroom makeover I did a few months ago? Well, this is where the rainbow fan is! Such a great addition to the room! There are a few more updates to show you, but that will be another time :)
