Luke 7:36-50 St. Janauarius
Jesus knew that the alabaster jar of the woman's heart had been broken long before she broke the alabaster jar of ointment. Yesterday we stood with the family of Mike by his side as he lay wrapped in a sheet on a carrier, ready to go for cremation. He was simply still. The pain in the room, the pain of a broken life in his face, and our heart broke, and is haunted by that face and that pain today. But what I know each time we pour ointment out of heart we become more open, We are given insight from God. "That sacred place becomes our wisdom school and Jesus rules the world from our hearts." The more we open our hearts and allow God to use us the more transparent we become. Deo Gratias! Thanks be to God!
