Bio

I am a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and grandmother to two beautiful grandsons. I am a pain advocate with one voice.

I am a survivor of change at no fault of my own. As a chronic pain sufferer and pain advocate, I created this blog as a way to share inspirational poems that are random, off the top of my head along with thought-provoking messages I live and breathe daily in thought but sometimes find difficult to put on paper or keep to myself.

It is a way to express myself and at the same time share my thoughts with others and my love of God with the world. When the occasion calls for it, I also will share random information related to Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain news and events to raise awareness and increase efforts in support of this cause.

Having lived with chronic pain for the past eleven years and being diagnosed with various conditions, I became an advocate with various chronic pain organizations to help raise awareness. Although my efforts are limited due to limitations and challenges I face, I do what I can when I can to make a difference.

When I became diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2009, with the help of my family, the first step in my journey as a pain advocate began with submission of my story “Joy” to the APF Action Network. The story can also be read at http://action.painfoundation.org/site/PageNavigator/Voices_of_Pain.

In 2009, in response to a campaign seeking a presidential proclamation proclaiming September National Pain Awareness Month, my family helped create this video “If I Lived in a World with Less Pain, I Could…” to share my voice as well as spread the word to bring awareness to what I believe is such an important issue in the lives of those who live with pain. It is my message to President Obama of what my world with less pain would be like. Please feel free to visit the link included below for viewing.

With every experience in life, I believe there is a purpose to fulfill and a message we are to share to make a difference in the lives of others. And for me, this is where my life with God has led me today as I work to share messages of hope, inspiration, and encouragement in spite of what life brings.

I am a victor and not a victim of circumstances. And so are you! Live on purpose. Laugh out loud intentionally. Love unconditionally. Together we can all make a difference.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting my page. I hope you enjoy it!
