My Top 10 Breakup Songs

My Top 10 Breakup Songs

So most couple have love songs as their "song". Mine and my husbands song was always Patience by Guns N Roses (I love them!). Maybe we should have never been married if this was our song in the first place. This song is dedicated to my patience when he takes off, and allowing him to come back... I know, it's stupid. I can't stop listening though! Am I really going to let him come back this time? I don't think I should. He hurts me when he does this, but I feel as if he's just being selfish and thinking about himself, not thinking about how I feel... So this is our "song" but I'm posting my top ten songs helping me heal right now :)

1) Guns N Roses Don't Cry

This song has helped me through so many low times in my past, and it's another Guns N Roses song, lol. Don't Cry is probably my most favorite song of all time.  I feel as anybody can relate to this song, no matter what they are dealing with in their life. It's a powerful and moving song if you actually listen to the lyrics.

2) Taylor Swift - White Horse

Maybe I should change the tune to my marriage, my life. Do I love him, yes I do. There is no doubt about that. But that doesn't mean I have to keep letting myself go through this. This song is saying just that. I still love you, but I can't keep doing this, and it's killing me inside.

3) James Blunt - Goodbye My Lover

This song just says it all, and it moved me. The first time I heard it was today, and it made me break down and cry, but that's what is helping me heal.

4) No Doubt - Don't Speak

This is probably just the OPPOSITE of what I want from him right now (if you don't know, he took off and hasn't contacted me) but in a NORMAL sepatation situation, this is the go to song for me.

5) Adele - Rolling in the Deep

Ok, this is the best "I'm going to get over this" song EVER RECORDED, EVER! I am going to literally make him wish he never had met me. Only difference is, we did have it all, and it's like he was never even here with all his stuff gone, which is more depressing.

6) Alisha Keys - Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart

This song is another one of my favorites. It's a very empowering song. It doesn't need an explaination, it's just that good.

7) Chrisette Michele - Blame It On Me

Sometimes when you are just done, and you don't care anymore, you just want it all to end. I love this song because she is saying I don't care what you do, I need to be done. Blame it on me if you need to, I'm just done! *Love it*

8) Lauryn Hill - Ex-Factor

This song probably explains my relationship perfectly. We were always back and forth, I kept letting him back in, I and he has hurt me more than anybody ever could. I know there are others that can relate to this song.

9) Ashanti - Foolish

This is exactly how I feel right now. Not the whole cheating thing, but the way he treats me. I keep taking him back. My heart can't take no more, but I keep doing it! Then when I listen to the song and think about everything, with the lyrics talking to me: I feel stupid for continuing the cycle with him. So then it helps me take the next step to move on.

10) Simple Plan - How Could This Happen To Me

I don't know if this necessarily a break up song, but I love it. I just want to scream "HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN TO ME"! It's MY song right now (I know I've said that a lot, but I connect with music). I just want all of this to go away.
