Must Read Blogs: Grandma Got STEM

I'm smitten with a blog. There, I said it. The blog is Grandma Got STEM and it's a new effort to document stories about the many women who have been working in STEM fields for decades.

The particular story I'm suggesting you read first is by Sharon Richardson. Sharon's story stands out for two reasons. She wrote it herself and it goes into detail about her whole education and career. Some of the other posts were sent in by family members of the "grandma" in question and don't go into as much life history as Sharon did. When you read Sharon's story, you'll feel like you just sat down for a cup of coffee with her.

After you read about Sharon, please take some time to look through the other stories about the women who've accomplished amazing things in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. And take a look at the submissions information so you can tell everyone who deserves to be mentioned on this blog how to send in a name and some information. Or send in a name yourself!
