I AM SPEAKING AT BLOGHER 2014

I'm Going to BlogHer '14!

Yes, I am one of the BlogHer speakers at the 2014 conference and couldn’t be more pleased to join the roster of such an accomplished group (I say very very humbly).  Along with being able to share health-related information, I am incredibly happy there is a mini conference totally focused on health and wellbeing.

I truly believe that if you aren’t in good health, it is a distraction to other aspects of your life.  Some things just happen, others are preventable.  Even if you are not in your optimum state of wellbeing, there are always things you can do to improve your situation.  There are many health bloggers who post regularly at BlogHer about topics that are related to conditions or situations most of us face.   I hope you attend the Health Mini-Con and share with the speakers there, while we share with you.

Looking forward to meeting you!!

To arrive at my conclusions, I did reflect back, and enjoyed the reminiscing. Here are my thoughts:   Read more >

Stay in Touch

I recently heard Neil Diamond’s song "Sweet Caroline" and was inspired to write about touch. Love that song and must have listened to it at least a thousand times since it first came out in 1969. (On a personal note, at least one of those times was during a make-out session behind my parent’s house.) The part that is most moving in the song is when Neil sings about hands touching hands. Touch between two consenting adults is so romantic. In fact, while I am writing this, I feel like playing the song and lighting a scented candle. But, let me pull out of the mood, as I am approaching this from a health perspective and not my own personal romance needs.   Read more >
