The Classroom Series
As a business student, life is always fascinating. Ever changing. There are so many ways to learn about business and many of those ways don't include a textbook.
I have learned a lot about business, just by going to productive stores and looking at how things are done. Since becoming a business student, I look at everything differently. There businesses that have gone out of business, here in my hometown. I'll think, 'I wonder was it the location or was it the inventory? Did they have lack in great public relations skills? The questions flood my mind. But, you know, it's challenging to see businesses and potential jobs, go out of business here, taking opportunities with them.
So many of my peers are leaving and have left because of the few opportunities. And frankly, I don't blame them. But, as one of the few of the groups that I was raised with in churches and dance and modeling classes, I want to see some things change. I want to see more jobs, I want to see things open up again and make this small town flourish. I want to help make a change. I know that it won't be easy, but I want this town to go back to the it was, when I was little. It may not, but, I must say that it would be nice.
Do any of you know towns like this? Do any of you live in towns like this? What would you like to see change? Do you have any ideas on how to make the changes? Are you willing to create a team to help those or are you willing to go at it alone?
