It's been a busy knitting month at my house, so I have two projects to show off. Today I'll show you guys the carrot cocoon that I made to go with baby's hat. It was super quick -- I was done in two evenings and I'm not a fast knitter. I'm a little obsessed with how cute it is.
Enough obsessed, in fact, that I may have dressed one of my old stuffed animals in the outfit and taken it to the pumpkin patch over the weekend for a picture.
I am so excited for when baby gets here and I get to dress her up in this!
I'm also excited for the pumpkin we bought at the patch. It weighed 30 pounds! Everyone there was very impressed and commented on it. We got a kit to carve extra-large pumpkins, so I hope to have a haunted castle decorating my window in a few weeks! Even though it was late (about 4 pm on Sunday) and the weather was very fall-like (cloudy, foggy, drizzling, cool), the farm with the pumpkin patch was insanely crowded. I wasn't sure Mike was going to stay, except that the drive took about 30 minutes longer than GPS promised (bringing me right to the edge of my 2-hours-from-the-hospital range), so I don't think there was any chance of him turning around to do the pumpkin picking at another time. The good news (aside from our awesome pumpkin) is that we bought fresh, hot, apple cider doughnuts for the drive home, which made all of the lines worthwhile for me.
