Addicted to Fluff
I finished the foot on baby's stocking (yey!), which means I have a lot of scary finishing work ahead of me. Since I haven't quite gotten myself in the mood for hours of duplicate stitching, I decided to start on a quick little project for my wintertime girl. Mike bought me a copy of What To Knit When You're Expecting, which is full of adorable baby patterns, and I've been thinking about the thrummed mittens ever since.
While I was in Manchester and Grafton, Vermont, with my mom, sister, grandma, and aunt after my baby shower last weekend, we visited Yarns for Your Soul. I bought a skein of Cascade Soft Spun (a discontinued yarn) in Violet, which coordinated perfectly with some Ferndale Fiber Potluck Roving in Purple Haze that I got when I purchased my spindle. The mittens were very easy to make and I think they're super cute.
Plus look how fluffy!
My favorite part of Grafton?
