5 Perfectly Spring Accessories
The weather is sunny and bright - time to pack up the sweaters and wooly scarves and move on to pretty, lighter touches.
But what's hot and what's not?
I've got five great Spring fashion accessories that will be easy on your budget and bring you up to date without requiring a closet overhaul.
1. You've got to have something neon! There are neons featured everywhere from department stores to on-line spots. But neon isn't easy to incorporate into a wardrobe so I recommend a zip clutch bag or envelope clutch in orange - because Tangerine is the Pantone color of the year and a bag like this is easy to use one season and then re-purpose when the neon fad passes (you could store make-up in it in your luggage).
2. Wrap your neck with a pretty floral scarf. Florals are hot right now and flatter everyone. Keep the fabric light and floaty like this feminine blue number.
Look for smallish prints and tie one around your handbag strap if you aren't comfortable with one around your neck when it gets too warm. This one is from Etsy because I'm totally into supporting Etsy artists whenever I can.
3. I'm seeing nude shoes EVERYWHERE.
Piperlime has a huge selection and strappy sandals are the way to go. Nude colored shoes play nicely with bright tones, dark skirts, and look great with jeans. With bare legs a nude shoe can elongate your line making you look taller and slimmer.
4. Get some retro shades!
They can be blue or black or tortoise, but they've got to be plastic frames and have a vintage vibe. These are under ten bucks and would look great with the shoe, bag and scarf I've got in this post. Go easy on the eye make-up but do a vivid lip color when wearing these.
5. Load up your wrists bangles and bracelets from gold to plastic to leather. Mix high and low, expensive and junk, but it's all about more.
These are all from Madewell and they each cost less than coffee and a donut so you can afford to mix and match. Just imagine how nice they'll look on your tanned wrists in a couple of months.
