10 Fruity and Fab Cocktails for July 4th

Whether you love margaritas, spiked iced tea, coconuts or lemonade—there’s a July 4th cocktail you’ll love.

Cruzanindependencewood ledeWho doesn’t love a four day weekend? Don’t answer that! July 4th is right around the corner and everyone’s getting together. Whether you’re having a party on the fourth or throughout the holiday weekend, you’ll be serving cocktails with your BBQ.

Take advantage of all the delicious fruits that are available now and use these cocktail recipes that include watermelons, peaches, berries and yes, even coconuts.

The cocktail recipes below are easy to make. Have fun and don’t forget to drink (and serve) responsibly this holiday weekend.

Melon Margarita MadnessWatermelon MargaritaIngredients: 
3 cups of watermelon, cut into 1-inch pieces and seeded 
12 oz. Casa Noble Crystal Tequila 
6 oz. orange Liqueur 
6 oz. freshly squeezed lime juice 
4 cups of ice cubes 
2 tsp. sea salt 
Lime wedges 
Directions: 
In a food processor or a blender, process the watermelon until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher that holds 10 cups. Add the ice and stir again to chill. Add the Casa Noble Crystal Tequila, orange liqueur and lime juice and stir well. Run a lime wedge around the glass rim to moisten it, and then turn the glass upside down and dip it in the salt (if so desired).

Serves 8.

Bourbon-Spiked Peach Iced Tea Bourbon spiked peach iced tea
Ingredients: 
1 quart cold water 
6 black tea bags 
2 tablespoons sugar 
2 cups peach nectar 
Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey (to taste)
Fresh peach slices and mint sprigs for garnish 
Directions: 
Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan then remove from the heat, add tea bags, and let steep 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in sugar until dissolved. Transfer to a pitcher, add peach nectar, and stir to combine. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.  Fill tall glasses with ice and then pour peach tea over, leaving some room at the top for the bourbon. Stir in 2 shot of whiskey to each glass and garnish with a peach slice and fresh mint sprig.

Cruzan Independence Blend

Cruzan independence cocktail
Ingredients: 
2 parts Cruzan Estate Diamond Light Rum 
1 part Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut 
4 parts Fresh Pineapple Juice 
1/2 of a Banana 
1/2 part Strawberry Purée 
12 parts Ice 
Directions: 
Add all but the Strawberry Purée to a blender and blend untill smooth. Pour Strawberry Purée in the bottom of a large glass and add blended mix to combine. Garnish with an American Flag.

Coconut Dream Cocktail

Coconut dream cocktail 1
Ingredients: 
2 oz. TY KU Coconut Sake 
1 oz. Orange Juice 
1 oz. Pineapple Juice 
Directions: 
Shake well, serve chilled

Paloma

Paloma cocktail

Ingredients: 
2 oz. Casa Noble Reposado 
Fresh grapefruit juice 
½ oz. fresh lime juice 
Splash of fizz 
Directions: 
Pour ingredients over ice.

Bohemia Fireworks

Bohemia fireworks cocktail
Ingredients: 
2 strawberries 
1.5 oz Bohemia Beer 
1.5 oz spiced rum 
.5 oz simple syrup  
1.2 oz. lemon juice  
Directions: 
Muddle the strawberries and add the rest of the ingredients. Shake all ingredients and pour over ice in a collins glass. Top with Bohemia beer.

Templeton Lemonade

Templeton Lemonade cocktail
Ingredients: 
2 oz. Templeton Rye Whiskey 
1/2 oz. Triple Sec 
Fresh lemonade 
Splash lemon lime soda 
Directions: 
In a pint glass, squeeze juice from and add half lemon and spirits. Next, add ice, fresh lemonade and a splash of lemon lime soda. Cover with mixing tin, and then shake once to incorporate.

Triple Berry Margarita on the Rocks

Triple berry margarita on the rocks 
Ingredients: 
1pkg. of Raspberries  
1 pkg. Blackberries   
1 pkg. of Strawberries (hulled and sliced) 
1/4 cup of sugar  
6 oz. Casa Noble Tequila   
4 oz . of fresh lime juice 
Wedge of lime   
Directions: 
Add all the ingredients in a blender or food processor. Process until smooth. 
Serves 4.

Voli Raspberry Cocoa Smash

Raspberry-cocoa-smash
Ingredients: 
2oz. Voli Raspberry Cocoa  
½ lime  quartered and squeezed       
1/2 oz. Agave nectar     
4 raspberries   
6-8 pieces of mint 
Directions: 
Muddle raspberries and mint. Shake and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.  Garnish with fresh raspberry and mint leaf.
